About Wes Anderson
Wes Anderson is known for his distinctive, meticulously crafted visual style, featuring symmetrical compositions, precise color palettes, and whimsical storytelling. His films, such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, and The French Dispatch, have become icons of cinematic artistry. His involvement made this project particularly exciting, as every visual decision required exceptional precision.
My Role in the Project
I was responsible for the entire Virtual Production planning and took charge of organizing and setting up the technical infrastructure.
Planning the Virtual Production elements,
Coordinating and leading the crew,
Managing the full setup,
and serving as ARRI’s Project Manager during the shoot.
One of the major challenges was the decision to shoot on an analog film camera while projecting onto an LED wall. This created a complex color calibration challenge between the camera and the LED technology, which we successfully overcame with a tailored solution.
